Gabor leads Ai Group’s branding and innovation consulting services. His work brings sustained performance to companies by enabling them to unlock winning service and product development opportunities, and market and brand positioning. A key component of his work is embedding a human-centred approach to branding and innovation, anchored in understanding customer’s needs. He works with established businesses who believe that there is always a better way and who understand that the ultimate objective of branding and innovation is value creation. Building on these foundations, he works collaboratively with business leaders to develop systematic and tailored innovation capabilities in their businesses including the adoption of the ISO56000 series of Innovation Management System standards.
Over the past 8 years, Gabor has advised over 150 companies and supported them to realise their growth opportunities through customer centric branding and innovation. His consulting work included supporting all stages of service and product innovation from generating winning ideas, evaluating opportunities, developing systems and processes to profitably commercialising them. Building on these foundations, he works collaboratively with clients and their teams to develop systematic innovation capabilities in their businesses.
Throughout his work, Gabor came to believe that embedding innovation requires a culture of experimentation, agility, collaboration, and platforms as well as clear processes to its management. Transforming businesses to embed these capabilities lie at the heart of his work. He uses Design Thinking and Process Thinking principles and take a whole-of-business approach that includes not only specific innovation activities but also innovation leadership, culture, and commercialisation which results in long-term value creation.
Gabor holds an MBA, Bachelor of Business, Graduate Certificate in Design Thinking and Innovation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors’ Directors Course. He is a Certified Practicing Marketer (CPM), a Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute, an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
